PHOTO SHOOT

“I’m not photogenic”, or “I never look good in pictures” are phrases I often hear. I, too, feel uncomfortable when somebody focusses a camera at me – just like many people. And that is why a photo shoot in a studio is great. Photographer and model are starting a process together. Initially, both feel more or less uncomfortable. The photographer, having experienced the process more often, will probably be the least uncomfortable, and so it is his job to help the model feel more comfortable.

Step by step the focus of his camera is shifted to the model, so they can more and more be themselves. This is when the most beautiful photos are created. After a few hour’s work it’s time to make a first selection. Experience shows that this isn’t as easy as one would think.

It is a mutual decision to have a photo shoot. The process is very fascinating and informative. The model exposes themselves (often literally). Maybe you’ll learn to see yourself through different eyes.

That would be great, wouldn’t it?
